The basic climbing course consists in 8 lessons with 3 hours each. We will climb in at least 3 different mountains in Rio, including Sugar Loaf. The curriculum covers all the safety procedures (rappelling, belaying, multi-pitch, etc. )and different climbing styles, such as chimneys, face climbing, crack climbing, etc.
The intermediate course is designed for those who have basic climbing skills, which might include one of the following:
- Gym climbers who wish to make the transition from artificial wall to real rock.
- Craging climbers who want to learn the safety procedures to climb multi-pitch routes.
- Climbers who want to improve their technique in order to climb harder routes.
- Climbers who want to focus on a specific climbing style.
These courses are for intermediate or experienced climbers who want to learn one of the following:
- Lead Climbing (sport)
- Trad. Leading
- Aid Climbing
- Big Wall
- Self-Rescue
When applying for this course please send details of you past experience and we can then make a recommendation for your attendance. Students who have been on our courses in the past are very suited to taking this course, as they will have gained a lot of experience of our systems and safety procedures.
Private classes available 7 days a week. Classes are half-day long, lasting about 3 hours.
