Summit Zero Hostel is the ideal place to stay when you want to combine sea & mountain holidays. Its serene location is the perfect getaway, whether you want to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area, or indulge in outdoor activities. We aim to provide an informal, friendly, family setup (of both Greek and English origin), whereby we hope to cater to all your needs. Summit Zero Hostel offers a wide range of activities to satisfy the needs of both the relaxed hiker and the most adventurous of travelers. While some of the sports on offer may require prior arrangement and notice, and may also be affected by seasonal constraints, we'll do our best to provide you with the holiday you're searching for.

The hostel is situated in an area called Gritsa, right on the beach, overlooking the small harbour of Litochoro, with Mountain Olympus as its spectacular backdrop. Only 1 hour from Thessaloniki's international airport, it's the ideal location for those embarking on a trip up Olympus, or simply for those searching for basic, lively, very reasonable, family-run accommodation in beautiful surroundings. The area's popularity stems from its unique diversity. The coastline and beaches stretch for miles, lined with lively beach bars and remote isolated spots. The mountain also has an allure all of its own, attracting both trekkers and serious climbers. There are also many areas of historic and sightseeing interest, such as the ancient town of Dion and the museum of Vergina (both revealing aspects of the life and family of Alexander the Great), as well as the traditionally beautiful, ancient, mountain village of Panteleimonas. These are just some of the highlights.

It is a two-storey building, with the sleeping quarters and communal guest showers and toilets on the first floor. There is also a large veranda upstairs, with a spectacular view of the sea and the mountain, which will be decked out with tables and chairs in the summer months. Each bedroom has large shuttered doors opening out onto the balcony/veranda area. The ground floor is made up of the communal lounge/dining area, boasting a large cosy fireplace for those wintry evenings. Here you can relax reading a book from our travelers library, play board games, enjoy our homemade food or surf on the internet. The kitchen and extra toilets are also located downstairs. During summer there is also an outdoor wooden Bar area serving chilled drinks and tunes with plenty of outdoor seating under our maple tree in the vast garden area.

Once you have settle in, come and relax in our garden bar and enjoy a cold beer or an iced coffee (frape). We offer a good selection of beverages, softdrinks, iced teas, juices, beers, wines, spirits and of course our homegrown organic tsipouro with a meze. At night our bar transforms into a meeting place where guests socialize and share their stories under groovy tunes.You must try our Mojito! Often we have guest D.Js and BBQ nights.
