Beautiful catered Chalet in the heart of the Portes du Soleil
Chalet Les Cascades is all about comfort and location. The chalet is located just above Champery in the area of Les Rumieres. It is set in a tranquil location surrounded by an alpine wood with spectacular views of the Dents du Midi.
The chalet is newly built and provides luxury accommodation with a traditional Swiss feel and a contemporary twist for that bit of modern for a comfortable stay.
During the winter months the chalet offers a fully catered service.
We've made every effort to ensure our bedrooms are like the ones you'd want in your own home. The five large double/twin rooms are en suite with luxury toiletries and hairdryers. The beds have feather duvets and pillows to create that extra comfort you want whilst on holiday.
The main living area has an open plan relaxed feel with a living room, dining room and kitchen with its log fire as the main focus point. Here you can relax after a day of activities on the mountain, the balcony overlooks the spectacular Dents du Midi. In the living area there is a plasma screen with full sky TV package, lots of DVD's and games if you want to stay in and relax in the chalet. |

Description |
The Village
Champery is a charming authentic village filled with traditional Swiss chalets nestled in the magnificent backdrop of the Dents du Midi and the Dents Blanches. Champery is situated at 1,050 meters and is one of Switzerland’s best-kept secrets. Just 90 minutes from Geneva, Champery is the gateway to the massive Portes du Soleil. Champery has a wealth of facilities for both winter and summer activities. The Palladium sports centre provides an ice rink, curling rink, large indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym, beach volleyball (summer) and tennis (summer). The village has retained its rustic charm and local traditions with many bars and restaurants along the main streets to relax and unwind after a day of activity.
On the Mountain
Champery is in the heart of the French-Swiss region of the Portes du Soleil. The cable car takes you directly up to 2200 metres to the region of the Portes du Soleil, which is the world’s largest linked International ski area. With 650 km of slopes to discover there is multitude of activities for the whole family, experts, intermediates and beginners. In the winter months there are activities such as skiing, snowboarding, paragliding, snow shoeing, hiking, sledding, cross- country and Nordic Skiing. Champery is well known for the Swiss Wall and has one of the biggest snow parks in Europe.
In the summer months 650 km of trails can be discovered by MTB biking, hiking, and horseback riding trails. The Dents du Midi and Dents Blanches also offer numerous walks and hiking possibilities. There are also other activities such as paragliding canyoning and the via ferrata. Every year the World Mountain Biking Downhill cup is held here and there is the Bike Park if you are feeling a little more daring.
Chablais Region
Champery is part of the chablais region, which offers a diversity of activities. The region has lots of culture and history this is characterized by its castles and museums. There are plenty of theme parks especially for the family. There are also lots of possibilities to play golf and for those who would like to relax and unwind there are thermal spas, which are a real oasis. |
