Beautifully renovated 17th century olive mill in the heart of Andalucia, southern Spain. Full of rustic charm

Molino del Puente originally dates back to the 17th century and has been used as both an olive and flour mill. The current owners have converted the mill into a 10 room hotel full of rustic charm and retaining many original features. Standing on the River Guadalcobacin the mill has beautiful terraces and landscaped riverside gardens.

The restaurant is beautifully set around an open central fireplace and features much of the original mill machinery. In the summer months there is also dining on the riverside terrace.

The chef has created an interesting international menu using only the finest of fresh local produce and seafood. The menu also offers an extensive wine list including many locally produced vintages and a wide selection of international wines.

The library is a peaceful haven for those wishing to read or enjoy a nightcap.

Molino del Puente is just 5 minutes from the historic centre of Ronda famed for its amazing gorge and Arabic architecture.
t is also only an hour from Jerez, Cadiz, Seville and coastal resorts on the Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz making it a perfect location to explore.

The mill is situated on the edge of 2 natural parks making it a very popular base for walking, bird watching, horse riding, cycling and for people interested in enjoying rural Spain.

Over the last decade there has been a big development in wine making in this area, and we find ourselves amongst some very interesting bodegas most of which have started bottling only this year. We are now starting to organise guided visits to these bodegas which include yalks by the owners and gourmet sampling different wines with each course (known as a "Maridage" in Spain - I dont think there is an English!)
