Sea Stars Apartments are a group of six new apartments set in a private lawned garden in the eel garden area of Dahab. Just one minutes walk from the beach and fringing Red Sea reef on the edge of the Bedouin village of Assala they are the perfect place to relax and absorb the local culture.
Ideal for families, couples or diving/ windsurfing groups wishing to stay together in the convenience and freedom of a fully equipped home, the apartments are all newly furnished and fitted out with everything required for a comfortable self catering holiday. To ensure a relaxed start to your stay a welcome pack of essential groceries and a sample of the local beer is provided.
The accommodation on the first floor consists of two twin/ double bedrooms with sea views, a modern wet room bathroom and a spacious open plan living area with a fully equipped fitted kitchen. The comfortable lounge area opens onto the balcony with views over the rooftops and minarets of the Bedouin village to the Sinai mountains beyond. Ground floor apartments are almost identical in layout but the main doors open onto a small garden terrace. The Apartments sleep four in the bedrooms or up to six by converting the sofas into comfortable beds for the night. Each apartment is fitted with a combination safe box and high speed wireless internet connection.
Enjoy a b.b.q. in the gardens or relax on the roof terrace under the bedouin style \'Arisha\' with its spectacular panoramic views of the Red Sea, Dahab and the mountains – a great place for sunset drinks.
The English owners live locally, will greet you on arrival with keys and make sure you get settled in o.k. and are available 24 hours for information and assistance.

Tim Blair, the owner, has ten years of professional scuba diving experience and extensive local and marine knowledge. Working as a private dive guide and Instructor he can tailor make dive packages to suit the needs and experience levels of any group to provide you with an unsurpassed diving experience. Tims philosophy is that diving is fun only when it is done safely and without impact on the environment. All his divers have the use of all the facilities of one of the best clubs in town.

The apartments can sleep up to 6 by converting the sofas to beds for the night. There is a nightly surcharge of €10 if there are more than 4 staying. This surcharge does not apply to families of 2 adults and up to 4 children under 12. |

*Sea Stars Apartment - and its owners Tim and Sian - go down as my most successful internet-travel-research find yet. Seven of us rented two of their apartments for a week, and I can honestly say it's one of the best holidays I've ever had. 29/06/08
*We had a wonderful time at Sea Stars (4 adults and 2 children). Tim was a wonderful host, acting as a travel agent whilst we were there - constantly on hand to organise anything we wanted to do. The appartment was exactly as it looked in the photos - spacious, clean and well equipped.
We were there for the windsufing down at the lagoon (about a 5 minute "taxi" ride away), and it couldn't have been better. The taxis were also waiting in the main market square and cost just £1 to get to the lagoon.

I hope you are well! I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Dahab and thought the apartments to be truely lovely.
Tim was very helpful and there to help us whenever needed and everything went really smoothly.
Unfortunately today is my first day back at work. Pity! But well have to do something to save up for next year's holiday I guess.

Dahab, an oasis of palms between the sinai mountains and the blue waters of the Red Sea was until quite recently a small bedouin village and a favourite spot for travellers to relax. Still something of a secret It has developed into a unique holiday destination with plenty of bohemian charm and retained its village feel. A worldclass destination for both windsurfing and scuba diving, other popular activities include yoga, horse riding, kite surfing , snorkelling and desert safari\'s to explore the history and beauty of the sinai desert. Or just come for a relaxing break far removed from the built up resorts and the madding crowd.
The apartments are located in the Eel Garden area of Dahab, on the edge of the bedouin village of Assala. This location gives we feel \' the best of both worlds\' - Some of the best restaurants in town and the beach promenade start just 100m down the beach - yet turn the other way and you are in an authentic Bedouin village complete with goats and camels and able to witness how the tribal bedouin maintain their traditional way of life. This is also the area where many western residents of Dahab live
Local amenities including pharmacy, bakery, supermarkets, grocers, internet shops and restaurants are 2 minutes walk away.
The Eel Garden dive site and restaurant area,where there is a shallow sandy lagoon suitable for swimming and home to some of the best restaurants in town is a 5 minute walk.
Dahab Bay with its colourful bazaars and restaurants is 10 minutes walk along the beach promenade or a 2 minute taxi ride away. Taxis are numerous and very cheap in Dahab. The lagoon beach is a 5 minute taxi journey which costs aprox €1.5.
Places of interest in the wider area include The Blue Hole, St Katherines monastery and Mount Sinai, the coloured and white canyons in the Sinai desert. Ein Hodra, a palm spring and bedouin settlement in the desert and safaris and trips can easily be arranged.v |
