It's always exciting traveling to new destinations, climbing fresh rock, visiting different cultures and Morocco gives you all this and more. It is a place largely missed by the British and only recently receiving a little more interest. For those of you with a thirst for adventure, this destination is a must.

The Todra Gorge is where we're heading. You arrive to a beautiful green oasis and tall palm trees standing at the mouth of this stunning mountain cleft of 300 meter brown limestone walls. The gorge delivers an offering of high quality single and multi-pitch sport climbs of all grades with huge development potential.

Accommadtion

The accommodation here is set in charming Moroccan hotels on a bed and breakfast basis. You will spend a two night stopover in Marrakech before your transfer to the mountains the following morning. Your accommodation is set in the heart of the city and offers so much culture and excitement to enjoy, whether its a snake charmer or craft stall your looking for, Marrakech is sure to meet your expectations.

Itinerary / Highlights

The Sports Climbing Holiday is focused on climbing as much quality single pitch rock climbs during the week as possible.

Saturday - Welcome to Marrakech:
• Pick up from Marrakech airport on flight 8895 from London Gatwick, arriving at 15:05
• Welcome meeting
• Explore Marrakech, the Souks and local shops
• Evening meal in the Djemaa El Fna

Sunday:
• Morning - Start travel to Todra gorge
• Pass over the Atlas Mountains and on to the Pre-Sahara desert
• Arrive Todra Gorge 7/8pm

Monday:
• Easy Climbing day
• Evening - optional camel ride around the palmerys

Tuesday:
• Climb
• optional short trip up on to the plateau above the Todra Gorge

Wednesday:
• Climb
• Evening - optional visit to a traditional Berber family home, enjoy tea and home made snacks whilst seeing the art of carpet making, with the option of buying authentic rugs and carpets

Thursday:
• Climb

Friday:
• Climb

Saturday:
• depart for Marrakech
• evening in Marrakech

Sunday:
• Depart Marrakech on easy jet flight 8894 to London Gatwick, departing 10:00

Accommodation Details

We use tried & tested Hotels in both Marrakech and the Todra Gorge. You will be perfectly situated for the climbing in the Gorge and for a sample of Marrakech.

The rooms used are modern, clean and secure with a shower, toilet & linen. The Hotel in the Gorge is of basic standards, but the best in the area.

Departure Dates, Options & Prices

Prices are set on a ratio scale of climbers to instructor. The price for this holiday is a 4:1 ratio - meaning 4 climbers to 1 instructor.

The price is also based on a 1 week holiday - weekend breaks and longer holidays are also available.
