Itinerary
Example ItineraryARRIVING
Arriving at the chateau you will be shown to your accommodation in one of our tastefully refurbished rooms and given time to unwind and explore the grounds. Get to know your fellow guests over a cocktail and aperitifs before taking your place at the dining table for a delicious four course evening meal. If you’re not feeling like an early night then a comfy seat besides the open fire or relaxing out on the terrace will help bring the day to a pleasant close.
A TYPICAL DAY WITH ACTIVITIES
After breakfast you will take a short drive to the beautiful medieval town of Argentat on the banks of the famous Dordogne river. From there, you will meet your guides and be taken to the acivity of your choice.
A picnic lunch (we can make it for you or you can make your own) in a forest glade or sitting on the banks of the magnificent Dordogne river means all you have to worry about is making friends and having fun; alternatively, you can have a "menu de jour" (from 12 EUROS) at any of the restaurants in Argentat, on the banks of the beatiful river.
Home in time to enjoy an aperitif before dinner while sharing stories of the day with fellow guests and friends. An evening barbecue or a delicious dinner of regional French cuisine (provided in our meals options) will allow you to soak up the culinary delights of this part of France and the beauty of this ancient chateau. A bottle of local wine from nearby Bordeaux will certainly help the evening go with a swing!
Watch the sun go down on a perfect day and make the most of the near-zero light pollution at the chateau with a bit of star-gazing before bed.
A TYPICAL DAY AT YOUR LEISURE
This is a day to take at your own pace and the chateau is there to enjoy. A lazy day beside the pool followed by a massage in the comfort of your room might be the order of the day. There are bikes on hand to explore the area or gently stroll through the woods to Lac de Feyt, a wonderful secluded bathing spot. If you are simply itching for more action then the choice is yours. In the evening dine at your leisure at a local restaurant. There is always the option to order dinner in the chateau or if you’re feeling creative you can even cook for yourself. Then an outdoor fire in the chateau grounds means the evening can carry on even after the sun has gone down.
TIME TO GO
No activities today so there’s ample time to lie in this morning. Breakfast will be waiting in the kitchen whenever you are ready. Then it’s time for a final farewell before departure.
